Product and process cooling refers to the use of cooling systems to maintain the temperature of products and processes in industrial or commercial settings. This can include cooling of products during storage or production processes, as well as the cooling of machinery and equipment during manufacturing processes. Often these units utilise 100% outdoor air for processes where the air cannot be recirculated.

In product cooling, the goal is to maintain a consistent temperature of a product, typically food or pharmaceutical products, to ensure quality and safety. Cooling may be required at various stages of production (for example cooling bread so it can go in a bag), from processing to packaging. In process cooling, the goal is to maintain the temperature of machinery, equipment and processes to optimise performance and efficiency. Process cooling systems may be required in various industries, including plastic manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage processing.

Main applications

  • Food and beverage processing
  • Pharmaceutical products manufacturing
  • Plastic manufacturing
